Igho “Tiny” Ubiribo, a Nigerian-British businessman and associate of Nigerian music star Davido, has reportedly died in Thailand following complications from a cosmetic procedure.
Ego, as he was popularly known, reportedly underwent a penis enlargement procedure at an unnamed clinic during a luxury holiday in Thailand with his wife, Danielle Simba Allen, in March 2026.
According to a report by TMZ, an inquest at the Inner West London Coroner’s Court heard that 43-year-old Ego had 40 millilitres of hyaluronic acid and lidocaine injected into his penis as part of the procedure.
After the treatment, Ego and his wife reportedly stayed at a Marriott hotel in Bangkok. He later complained of chest pain and allegedly lost consciousness twice before being taken to Sukhumvit Hospital.
His wife reportedly informed medical personnel about the injections. However, Ego became unconscious before doctors could carry out a recommended CT scan.
Doctors later determined that he had suffered a pulmonary embolism, a potentially fatal condition involving a blockage in a blood vessel supplying the lungs. He was subsequently moved to intensive care.
Medical personnel reportedly performed CPR for more than 100 minutes, but Ego died in the early hours of March 6, 2026.
A postmortem examination carried out in the United Kingdom reportedly found cellular material in his lungs that matched the hyaluronic acid used during the cosmetic procedure.
Following the evidence presented at the inquest, Coroner Jean Harkin reportedly concluded that Ego died from a pulmonary embolism linked to the cosmetic procedure.
Ego was known for his lavish lifestyle and frequently shared aspects of his life on social media.
At his funeral, Davido described the death as “heavy” and said the circumstances surrounding it still did not feel real.
Lagos socialite Cubana Chief Priest also paid tribute to Ego, sharing a video from the funeral ceremony.
In his tribute, he wrote: “Rest Easy Brother @ego2222. Even In Death, The Lifestyle Was Kept 700 For You.
“Today London Stood Still For You Tiny, We Love You, We Celebrate You and We Will Never Forget You Brother, We Lived Bro, Good Memories Na Water. RIP Big Tiny Please Watch Over Us #30BillionGeng.”
