The Private Sector Health Alliance of Nigeria (PSHAN) is inviting nominations for its 2026 Annual Gala and Awards Night, with 25 sub-categories recognising contributions from across Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem.
The awards cover five broad categories—Government, Media, Non-Profit Organisations, Individuals and the Private Sector—highlighting the roles of different stakeholders in strengthening healthcare delivery and improving health outcomes across Nigeria.
The 2026 awards will be held on Friday, November 20, in Lagos, under the theme, “The Legacy Builders: Honouring Visionaries of Nigerian Healthcare”, and will bring together senior leaders, changemakers, partners and stakeholders from across Nigeria’s healthcare ecosystem for an evening of recognition, celebration and collaboration.
According to PSHAN, this year’s theme is focused on individuals, organisations and institutions whose leadership, commitment and investment are contributing to the long-term development of Nigeria’s healthcare system.
Nominations are open to members of the public, healthcare professionals, organisations, industry stakeholders and others across the healthcare ecosystem. Nominees may include individuals and organisations whose work has made a meaningful contribution to healthcare in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to BusinessDay, PSHAN said all nominations will be assessed through an independent, expert-led judging process designed to ensure that recognised contributions are credible, rigorous and measurable.
“To uphold the integrity of the awards, all nominations will be assessed through an independent, expert-led judging process, with a focus on credible, rigorous and measurable contributions to healthcare.”
Nominations close on September 12, 2026, with submissions to be made through the awards portal at pshan.org/awards2026/
PSHAN is a non-profit organisation that mobilises private sector resources, expertise and leadership to complement government efforts and support partners and implementers working to improve health outcomes in Nigeria.
Through strategic partnerships and initiatives such as its Adopt-A-Healthcare-Facility Programme (ADHFP), the organisation seeks to strengthen Nigeria’s healthcare system by driving coordinated private-sector action and investment.
The 2026 awards are part of PSHAN’s broader efforts to recognise and encourage the individuals, institutions and organisations helping to build a more resilient healthcare system in Nigeria.
