A Nigerian lady has reportedly found herself torn between her boyfriend of five years and her wealthy boss, who has offered to marry her and improve her family’s living conditions.

The story was shared on X by a user identified as @TeeMento, who explained that the 27 year old woman had been dating her boyfriend since her National Diploma (ND) days.

The boyfriend is described as a caring partner who does not cheat on or beat her. However, he is still struggling financially and earns a living by managing a point of sale (POS) shop in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos, while also charging phones.

The situation reportedly became complicated after her 42 year old divorced boss, who has two children, expressed interest in marrying her and promised to provide financial support.

Lady’s Boyfriend Plans to Marry Her in December

In the post, @TeeMento explained that the lady’s boyfriend had been planning to settle down with her in December despite his financial struggles.

However, the relationship has reportedly come under pressure because the man has yet to achieve the level of financial stability his girlfriend desires.

The X user noted that the boyfriend has repeatedly assured her that things would improve, but she has grown tired of waiting.

The post read that the boyfriend keeps telling her, “babe next year go better,” but he has been making the same promise for three years.

Wealthy Boss Offers to Change Lady’s Life

The situation reportedly took another turn when the woman’s boss offered to marry her and promised to improve her financial circumstances.

The 42 year old man, who is divorced and has two children, allegedly promised to open a supermarket for her, buy her a small car and relocate her and her mother from their one room apartment in Sango Ota.

The offer reportedly appealed to the lady’s mother, who has also been putting pressure on her to consider the wealthy man’s proposal.

However, the 27 year old lady reportedly loves her boyfriend and is struggling to decide whether to remain in the relationship or accept the opportunity presented by her boss.

Lady Cries Over Financial Struggles and Pressure

The post further revealed that the lady had become emotional over her situation, particularly when comparing her life with those of her friends and former classmates.

She reportedly cried while travelling on a bus after thinking about how some of her peers were married to financially stable men, while others had moved to London.

The X user added that her boyfriend could not afford a room and parlour self contained apartment, a situation that has reportedly contributed to her frustration about their future.

X User Seeks Advice for Confused Lady

After narrating the situation, @TeeMento asked social media users to advise the lady on whether she should remain with her boyfriend or consider marrying her boss.

The user wrote, “I told her to follow her heart but she is confused.

“What would you advise her to do? Wait for love or do you think her boss can guarantee her future?”
