A Nigerian lady has shared her dilemma after her American-based ex-boyfriend, who ended their three-year relationship over distance, returned with marriage plans just as another man was helping her build her career in Nigeria.

The lady explained that she dated her ex-boyfriend for three years before he relocated to the United States. The former couple had plans for their future together, but her attempts to join him abroad were unsuccessful after her visa application was rejected twice.

According to her account, the man eventually ended the relationship, insisting that he could not continue with a long-distance relationship while her efforts to relocate remained unsuccessful.

More than a year after the breakup, the lady met another man in Nigeria who has supported her professional development.

She explained that he helped her secure a job at a financial firm and paid for her Chartered Banking classes, examinations and induction.

Despite his significant investment in her growth, the man has not explicitly told her that he wants to date or marry her.

Last month, she shared a photograph of herself with him on her induction day, accompanied by affectionate captions. Her former boyfriend reportedly saw the post and responded with stickers.

The situation took another turn last week when the lady received a birthday package from the United States. Her ex-boyfriend subsequently expressed his desire for them to reconcile and get married.

She admitted feeling confused about the decision, particularly because her former partner remains her ideal type.
