“I only gave him food” – Lady cries out as fiancé accuses her of having affair with his barber

A Nigerian lady has cried out after her fiancé allegedly accused her of making his personal barber too comfortable in their home by serving him food in his absence.

The story was shared by Facebook user Sylvia Okonkwo, who explained that the barber was also her former senior course mate and someone she knew from school.

‘The Barber Was My Senior Course Mate’

According to Sylvia, her fiancé’s barber had been visiting their home to cut his hair, but she did not know him personally until she started living with her fiancé a few months ago while they planned their wedding.

She later realised that the barber was her senior course mate and told her fiancé that they had been friends in school, although they were not very close and were only in the same department.

Sylvia explained that she had previously interacted with the barber without any issues, including during her fiancé’s birthday celebration.

‘I Casually Asked If He Wanted to Eat’

The barber reportedly visited the house again last week to cut her fiancé’s hair, but her fiancé had not arrived.

She called her fiancé and he reportedly confirmed that he was aware of the barber’s visit but was stuck in traffic.

Sylvia allowed the barber to wait in the parlour while she continued cooking.

After she finished, she casually asked whether he wanted to eat, expecting him to decline as people often do when offered food.

However, the barber reportedly accepted the offer.

She wrote:

“You know that question we ask visitors expecting them to say no?😂. But this guy said, ‘Yes ooh, I dey my oga house nau. Bring the food while I wait for him.’”

Sylvia said she served him rice, stew and juice before returning to the kitchen.

‘So You Now Comfortably Serve Strangers Food?’

Less than five minutes later, her fiancé reportedly arrived home.

After greeting the barber, he went upstairs to change before asking Sylvia about the interaction.

She said he questioned why she had served the barber food in his absence.

“I thought the matter had ended until later that night when he brought it up again. He said I was making the guy too comfortable in his house and accused me of having something to do with him😳,” she wrote.

Sylvia said she was shocked by the accusation and tried to explain what had happened, but her fiancé allegedly refused to listen.

The couple reportedly went to bed without speaking to each other that night.

‘I Left His House’

The following day, Sylvia said she left her fiancé’s house after the disagreement.

She claimed that more than four days had passed without him calling or answering her calls.

She also said she went to his house but did not meet him there.

Expressing confusion over the situation, Sylvia wrote:

“Honestly, I don’t even understand what crime I committed🥺. Please post for me🙏🏼”

Her story has since sparked discussions online, with social media users sharing different views on the situation.
