“I’m too young for this crisis” – Man recalls losing job, child and nearly losing wife in one week

A Nigerian man has opened up on a difficult period in his life when he and his wife lost their jobs, lost their baby and nearly lost his wife within the space of one week.
The man, identified as II Moses on Facebook, shared the emotional experience while encouraging people going through difficult times not to give up.
‘2024 No Do Us Well’
According to Moses, 2024 was one of the most difficult years for his family as several painful events happened within a few days.
“We lost our job, our baby, and my wife almost d!&d, all within the space of one week,” he wrote.
“The year 2024 no do us well.”
He recalled looking up to the sky during the difficult period and asking God why he was going through such a crisis at a young age.
“That day, I looked up to the sky and said, ‘Lord, please, I am too young for this crisis.’”
‘I Confronted God’
Moses revealed that he struggled emotionally after being informed that his baby had died.
He said he left the hospital and confronted God, telling Him how devastated he was and expressing his fear of losing his wife as well.
“When I was told that our baby had died, I went out of the hospital and confronted God,” he wrote.
“I said, ‘If you take away the life of my wife, I am going to k!|| myself. You can’t do that.’
“I was not joking then.”
Moses said the pain became so overwhelming that he stopped praying and instead began expressing his feelings directly to God.
‘I Literally Stopped Praying’
According to him, the experience changed the way he communicated with God during that period.
“I literally stopped praying and started telling God exactly how I felt,” he stated.
He acknowledged that some people might have experienced similar moments when they became too overwhelmed to pray normally.
“I don’t know whether you have ever been in a situation where you stopped praying and started telling God exactly what was in your heart,” he wrote.
“That was exactly what happened to me.”
‘Sometimes, Life Can Catch Us Off Guard’
Reflecting on the experience, Moses noted that difficult situations could overwhelm people if they were not careful.
“Sometimes, life can catch us off guard, and if we are not careful, the trouble can consume us,” he stated.
He explained that happiness does not mean a person will never experience difficulties.
“Many of you don’t know this, but happiness is not the absence of trouble.
“There will be days when everything will seem to be going wrong.
“There will be days when you will not even know what to say to God.”
‘Even When You Don’t Have the Right Words, Pray’
Moses encouraged people going through difficult periods to continue praying even when they struggled to find the right words.
“But when those seasons come, pray,” he wrote.
“Even when you don’t have the right words, pray.”
He said he was sharing his experience to encourage anyone who currently felt overwhelmed or believed that God had abandoned them.
“I am sharing this to someone going through a lot and thinking God has forsaken them.
“You will be fine.
“Las las, we all go dey alright…”
His post has since sparked reactions on Facebook, with users reflecting on his experience and message of hope for people facing difficult seasons.
