Lady recounts how salon customer shamed her for not having kids after questioning her parenting style

A Nigerian lady has recounted how a fellow salon customer shamed her for not having children after she questioned the woman’s handling of her crying son.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that she was eating chips at a salon when the other customer’s six-year-old son began crying and reaching for her food.
She initially refused to share her chips, but the boy’s mother pleaded with her to give him some to calm him down. She eventually obliged, only for the child to demand the entire pack.
The woman said the boy’s persistent crying became unbearable, prompting his mother to ask her to hand over all the chips, promising to buy her another pack.
However, she questioned why the boy was crying excessively, suggesting that he knew his mother would give in to his demands.
“Why is he crying like that? Maybe because he knows that you will give him,” she recalled telling the mother.
According to her, the conversation took an unexpected turn when the woman asked whether she was married and had children.
After she confirmed that she was married but had no children, the mother reportedly responded, “That’s why.”
The woman said she was left speechless before handing the remaining chips to the boy, telling the child to forgive her.
Her account has highlighted the tension that can arise when people disagree over parenting approaches, particularly when personal circumstances become part of the argument.
