Amid this backdrop, the Dangote Refinery has announced that it will commence the nationwide distribution of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, and diesel starting August 15, 2025.
In a statement released on Sunday, the refinery revealed that it has invested in 4,000 new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG)-powered tankers to bolster its fuel supply operations across the country.
The company noted that the distribution process will be phased and complemented by over 100 mobile CNG tankers and the establishment of CNG filling stations to ensure efficient last-mile delivery.
According to the company, petroleum products will be supplied directly to marketers, fuel stations, manufacturers, telecom firms, and aviation companies—without additional logistics charges. This, it said, is aimed at eliminating third-party costs and making fuel more affordable.
