The Osun State Government has raised an alarm over an alleged conspiracy hatched between the offices of the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Accountant-General of the Federation regarding allocations to Local Governments in the state.
Papers News reports that the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dosu Babatunde, in a statement on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, said there is a planned action deliberately aimed at thwarting the cases already filed at the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
Babatunde asserted that information at the government’s disposal indicates that the offices of the Accountant General of the Federation and the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) have concluded plans to pay Osun LG allocations to private accounts of some impostors.
