Estate Solicitor Petitions IGP over Lagos Socialite, Gail Fajembola’s Alleged Illegal Conversion, Leasing of Banana Island Apartment

In the petition dated June 13, 2025 and addressed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Estate’s Solicitor, Legal Resources Alliance, said the apartment was initially released to Fajembola on humanitarian grounds only for her to later fraudulently claim ownership of the apartment for the purpose of leasing to unsuspecting clients.

“It is important to emphasize that Ms. Gail Fajembola was initially permitted to temporarily reside in the apartment strictly on humanitarian grounds based on her pleas of homelessness at the time. This act of kindness by our Client was never intended to confer tenancy rights or authority to sublet,” the petition read.

The petition further detailed that Fajembola through her company, GIF Energy Resources Limited not only rented out the apartment but received rent to the tune of over N100million for over three years without notifying or remitting same to the owner of the apartment.
