Tinubu Gov’t To Sign Over 30 MoUs As Nigeria-Brazil SDM Commences In Abuja

Nigeria is poised to sign over 30 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Brazil as the second session of the Nigeria-Brazil Strategic Dialogue Mechanism (SDM) commenced in Abuja on Tuesday, June 24.


A statement released on Tuesday by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha, confirmed the arrival of Brazil’s Vice President, Geraldo Alckmin, who is beginning a three-day state visit.


Papers News reports that the purpose of the visit is to strengthen bilateral relations between the two nations, with the MoUs anticipated to encompass a wide array of strategic sectors, such as defence and security collaboration, agricultural technology transfer, energy cooperation and transition initiatives, cultural and educational exchange programmes, as well as trade facilitation and industrial development, according to the statement.
