The Obidient Movement has suspended its call for public donations for the nationwide birthday rally of former presidential candidate, Peter Obi.
The decision comes in response to widespread public backlash over the fundraising effort, which was intended to support celebrations marking Obi’s 64th birthday.
Papers News reports that the Movement had on Monday said four dedicated bank accounts had been created to fund the rally activities, which are jointly managed by three individuals named Serah Ibrahim, Ezeokoli Blessing, and John Alor.
