He shared this information on the 26th of June, 2025, during the official launch of the Kugbo terminal, which was commissioned by President Bola Tinubu as part of events marking his second year in office.
“We can take over 120 buses here and we’ve designed this place such that it can handle up to 10,000 passengers every day. It’s the same thing with the one in Mabushi as well,” he said.
According to Otunola, both terminals are meant for inter-city and intracity travel, while a third one under construction in the Central Business District is designed mainly for urban movement.
He noted that each terminal would provide jobs for no fewer than 100 people, covering roles in security, ticketing, facility operations, electrical works, mechanical support, and maintenance.
