The caucus, which includes NMA chapters from Osun, Oyo, Ekiti, Ogun, and Ondo states, made the threat at a press conference in Osogbo on Tuesday.
Dr. Adeshina Fasanu, Chairman of the Caucus and head of the Osun State NMA, criticized the circular issued by the National Salaries, Income and Wages Commission (NSIWC), saying the newly adjusted allowances do not reflect the harsh economic realities facing healthcare professionals.
He noted that the national leadership of the NMA has already issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Federal Government, demanding a reversal of the circular and full implementation of previously agreed benefits.
