In a now-trending interview with The Sun UK, Peters recounted that their love story began in 2020 after she joined a dating app. She initially started chatting with Bright’s older brother, Emeka, who was living in Senegal at the time.
Although her conversations with Emeka did not lead anywhere, Peters said everything changed when he shared a picture of his family and in that photo, she noticed Bright.
“It was like a thunderbolt – I knew this was the man I was meant to be with,” she said.
At the time, Bright was working as a cook in South Africa, while Peters was based in Australia.
