The respected administrator, who only assumed duty as UNIMED’s third substantive Registrar on January 6, 2025, was found dead in his Ondo town residence in the early hours of Thursday, July 17, 2025. His sudden death has plunged the university community and the town into mourning.
Confirming the grim development, a source within the institution said, “He was discovered lifeless in his home on Thursday morning. We hope the police will uncover what really happened.”
UNIMED’s Head of Media and Protocol, Mr. Isaac Oluyi, described the news as both shocking and painful. In an official statement, he said:
“The devastating news has left the entire university community in mourning. He was present at work on Monday, July 14. The circumstances of his death remain unclear at this point.”
