Former presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, has revealed that late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, gave a blunt directive to Nigeria’s security chiefs at the height of insurgency in 2021.
Papers News reports that Adesina, in a tribute following the former president’s death, said Buhari held a meeting with security chiefs when insurgency reached its peak in 2021 and ordered the killing of terrorists.
While describing Buhari as a patriot who cared deeply for Nigerians, Adesina said the late former president was visibly frustrated by the persistent threat of terrorism and told the security chiefs to kill terrorists because they do not deserve to live.
