The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has conducted a public auction of forfeited houses, which were either acquired through proceeds of drug trafficking or used as an instrumentality of committing the crime.
The agency’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, announced the development in a statement made available to Papers News on Tuesday.
The Chairman of the NDLEA, Mohamed Buba Marwa, stated that the exercise would serve as a punishment and a deterrence to other individuals.
