Veteran Nollywood actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo, has alleged that many Police Officers and members of the Armed Forces can no longer go home to their families when they are on leave because they can’t afford the transport fares.
According to him, many of the security officers now prefer to remain in the forest rather than go to their families.
The Labour Party chieftain argued that the security forces are not well paid and are now being forced to embark on protests to get reasonable retirement benefits.
