Atiku Is A Serial Loser, He’ll Contest Presidency Again In 2031 – Wike

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, describing him as someone who keeps contesting elections without success and may still be on the ballot in 2031.
Papers News reports that Wike made the remarks on Thursday while inspecting ongoing road projects across Abuja.
His comments came after Atiku criticized the current administration, claiming it has not improved the lives of Nigerians.
Reacting, the minister said many Nigerians would not agree with such claims, pointing to visible work being carried out in the FCT. He questioned Atiku’s record, asking him to compare the condition of Abuja during his time in office with what is seen today.
“Atiku is a serial failure. He is a serial contestant and loser and I am sure that in 2031, he will still contest. Nigerians would be laughing at such a person making that kind of statement that nothing positive has been done,” he said.
Wike said governance would not stop because of politics, noting that development projects must continue regardless of election activities. He added that contractors working on projects are focused on delivering their jobs and are not involved in political battles.
Speaking on infrastructure, the minister assured residents that major road projects linking satellite towns would be completed as scheduled.
He disclosed that work on the Airport to Kuje road is almost done, with part of the bridge expected to be opened for use next week. He added that the entire project should be ready before the end of May.
