Nigerian singer and producer Young Jonn has revealed that he is currently not in a position to settle down with one woman or engage in a serious relationship.
Speaking in a recent interview on Afro Today, the 31-year-old said he still believes in love but is not ready to fully commit his time and attention to a single partner. According to him, entering a serious relationship at this stage would not be fair since he may not be able to meet the emotional expectations involved.
Young Jonn explained that he prefers to keep his relationships light and friendly for now, rather than pursue committed romantic ties. He noted that this approach helps him avoid placing anyone in a situation where they might expect more than he can currently offer.
“Everybody loves love. I mean, love is wonderful. But I’m not really in that space where I can give so much of me to one person. So I’m just keeping it platonic with everybody,” he said.
He added, “I don’t want a serious relationship right now because I feel like I won’t be able to give that person as much as I’m supposed to. So why put them in that situation?”
The singer also admitted he finds it difficult to remain with just one romantic partner, describing it as a personal challenge.
