VIDEO: Car plunges into Ikpoba hill river in Edo

A car has reportedly plunged into the Ikpoba Hill River in Edo State on Tuesday, sparking panic and concern among residents of the area.
Eyewitnesses said the incident occurred along the Ikpoba Hill axis in Edo State, where the vehicle suddenly went off the road and entered the river.
According to accounts from the scene, bystanders immediately rushed to assist and attempted to rescue the driver after the crash.
However, it was gathered that the driver allegedly refused to leave the vehicle despite repeated efforts by residents to bring him to safety.
As at the time of filing this report, the circumstances leading to the accident remain hazy.
Authorities in Edo State had yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
