APC Primaries: Alia urges massive turn up for Tinubu

The Governor of Benue State, Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia, has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) family in Benue State to turn up in their numbers to vote for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the presidential flag bearer of the party in the forthcoming 2027 presidential poll.
Alia made the call on Thursday after he was counted during the gubernatorial direct primaries at RCM Primary School, Ihugh.
Speaking at the headquarters of Mbadede Council Ward, he said the President needs to be re-elected to consolidate his bold developmental strides like expanded infrastructure projects, renewed focus on economic reforms and investment attraction, efforts to boost job creation and improve security, and a commitment to strengthening governance.
He promised to engage aggrieved members of the APC and aspirants who lost contests for the Senate, House of Representatives and Houses of Assembly to ensure they remain in the party, and work together to pursue the bigger picture by delivering all elections from bottom to top.
He expressed happiness and satisfaction with the turnout for his own election, saying he has seen it as a clear mandate to act on the people’s priorities.
Alia said: I can assure you that by the time I am through with my eight years in office, Benue will become a state every one would want to visit.
“What you have seen is not even a quarter of what I have in store for the state.
“I started from ground zero and had to lay some very solid foundations.”
