Ex-FCTA director picks PDP Reps nomination form in Taraba

A retired Director of the Department of Development Control, Federal Capital Territory Administration, Abuja, Muktar Galadima, has purchased his nomination form for Wukari and Ibi Federal Constituency under the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Galadima picked both his nomination and expression of interest forms at the party secretariat in Jalingo on Wednesday.
Speaking to newsmen in Jalingo, Galadima expressed confidence in his ability to represent his people and improve their wellbeing.
The town planner also expressed confidence in winning the House of Representatives seat in the coming general elections.
He said that victory would be determined by his constituents and not by the government in power.
He added that he was not disturbed by the posture of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the ruling party in the state.
He said: “I am very happy today because the process towards actualisation of my dream of giving my people good leadership is on the top gear.
“I have just purchased my nomination and expression of interest forms today, and I am overwhelmed by the support and goodwill I have received from the people of Wukari/Ibi.
“My intention and aspiration is based on my people’s clarion call for better representation at the National Assembly, bearing in mind my track record of service at the FCTA.
“I am very confident of my victory come 2027, and I call on my people not to be disturbed, especially as they have the power to decide who gets what in the elections.”
Galadima, a native of Ibi Local Government Area, retired from the FCTA nine years ago.
He recently resigned as Senior Special Assistant on Development Control to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, to pursue his House of Representatives ambition.
