Osun 2026: Oyewumi appointed member of APC Campaign Council

A former Member of the National Governing Board of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) and prominent member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Prince Oyekunle Oyewumi, has been appointed as a member of the APC National Campaign Council for the forthcoming 2026 governorship election in Osun State.

The National Campaign Council is headed by the Governor of Imo State and Chairman, Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma.

It has notable political figures from Oyo State, including the Minister of Power, Chief Joseph Tegbe; Chairman of the National Revenue Service (NRC), Zacch Adedeji; former Minister for Youth Development and Presidential Media Aide, Chief Sunday Dare; former Deputy Governor of Oyo State/Oyo State APC Chairman, Chief Moses Adeyemo; APC governorship candidate for Oyo State in 2027, Senator Sarafadeen Alli; Senator Yunus Akintunde; Tolulope Akande Sadipe; Hon. Wasiu Alli; and Ibrahim Lawal.

Having served in various capacities at the National and Sub-national party levels, Oyewumi, who was Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor on Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and member of the APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council, will serve on the committee on mobilisation of special interest (PWD) with the Executive Governor of Niger State, Alhaji Umar Bago and Aare Durotolu Bankole serving as Chairman and Secretary respectively.

The National Campaign Council will be inaugurated by the National Chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, in Abuja on July 28, 2026.
