Bowen University appoints Provost, College of Law

The management of Bowen University, Iwo, Osun State has appointed Prof. Mary-Ann Onoshoike Ajayi as the Provost of its College of Law. 

This development was announced in a statement issued by the Registrar of the University, E. O Ojemola, on July 28, 2026.

The appointment, which takes effect from August 1,2026, is for a tenure of two years. 

Ajayi, a Professor of African Law at Bowen University, is married to Aare Seun Ajayi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) and they are blessed with children. 

She is widely regarded as a brilliant legal scholar and author who champions the rights of female children, actively speaking out against discrimination cultural practices regarding education and property inheritance. 

Congratulatory messages have poured in from stakeholders, including the Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice of Nigeria, Prince Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), Bowen University Law Students’ Society, and Aare Ajayi.
