Dabiri-Erewa congratulates NTA DG, NAN MD on tenure renewal

Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has congratulated Abdulhamid Salihu Dembos, Director General of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), and Ali Mohammed Ali, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on their second three-year tenure renewal by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The renewal was announced by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Sunday.
It will see both media chiefs commence their second term on October 20, 2026, having first been appointed on October 20, 2023.
Dabiri-Erewa, in a congratulatory message, described the reappointments as a well-deserved vote of confidence in two dedicated media leaders whose works have been vital in projecting Nigeria’s image both at home and abroad, including to the millions of Nigerians in the diaspora whom NiDCOM represents.
She asserted that their continued leadership assures the country of sustained, credible and far-reaching coverage of national issues, including the diaspora agenda.
She said the media veterans with years of professional experience have both demonstrated commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s state media institutions amid ongoing efforts to modernise operations and expand digital reach.
The NiDCOM Chairman wished them both continued success as they begin their new term in service of the nation.
