Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has paid a surprise visit to the Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, after his reelection victory.
The visit came on Sunday hours after Adeleke was declared the winner of the Osun State governorship election conducted on Saturday.
Adeleke, the candidate of Accord, was declared the winner of the poll in the early hours of Sunday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC);
While he polled 511,067 votes, his closest challenger and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji, received 444,815 votes.
He won in 19 of the state’s 30 local government areas, while Oyebamiji took the remaining 11.
Obasanjo, spotting a white native dress, was led into the house by two men.
Immediately Adeleke emerged from the room, both began to dance.
