Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, has approved the redeployment of four commissioners in a move aimed at reshuffling responsibilities within the state executive council.
The changes were announced by the Secretary to the Taraba State Government, Gebon Kataps, in a statement made available to journalists in Jalingo on Thursday.
According to the statement, the new postings take immediate effect, with the affected commissioners directed to resume work in their respective ministries without delay.
Under the new arrangement, Peter George, who previously served as Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Industry, has been redeployed to the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs.
Philip Habu James, formerly Commissioner for Social Development and Human Services, will now take charge of the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry.
Also affected by the reshuffle is Daniel Ishaku, who previously headed the Ministry of Water Management and Aquatic Affairs. He has been moved to the Ministry of Waste Management and Resource Innovation.
Bernard Shonzen James Kassa, who previously served as Commissioner for Waste Management and Resource Innovation, has been transferred to the Ministry of Social Development and Human Services.
The state government said the commissioners are expected to immediately assume their new responsibilities.
Governor Kefas wished the affected officials success as they take on their new assignments.
