NCC Recognises Globacom’s Compliance With Customer Complaint Targets

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has praised Globacom for surpassing its regulatory targets for resolving customer complaints in August 2026, describing the performance as evidence of the telecom operator’s commitment to consumer satisfaction and service improvement.

The commendation was communicated in a letter to the telecommunications company, signed by Kabiru S. Haruna, Principal Manager, Consumer Protection and Advocacy, Consumer Affairs Bureau of the NCC.

In the letter, the regulator said Globacom performed above the prescribed resolution benchmarks of 90 per cent and 97 per cent for Level 2 (L2) complaints during the period under review.

“We are pleased to note that your organisation achieved and surpassed the Commission’s complaint resolution thresholds of 90 per cent and 97 per cent for Level 2 (L2) complaints.

This accomplishment reflects your commitment to regulatory compliance, consumer satisfaction, and the continuous improvement of service delivery,” the commission stated.

The NCC stressed that prompt complaint handling and adherence to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) were crucial to building subscribers’ confidence and improving their experience with telecommunications providers.

It urged Globacom to maintain the performance and pursue further improvements in service quality, complaint management procedures and customer satisfaction.

Responding to the recognition, Globacom attributed its progress to regular training for customer facing employees and investments in modern technology to improve efficiency and enable faster responses to subscribers’ concerns.

The company reaffirmed its commitment to high service standards, noting that its corporate philosophy, Never Settle for Less, continued to shape its approach to customer experience.

“Our philosophy, Never Settle for Less, embodies our determination to continually raise the bar in every aspect of our service delivery.
We will continue striving to deliver experiences that reflect the confidence our customers have reposed in Globacom,” the company said.

The NCC’s recognition underscores the role of effective complaint resolution and responsive customer service in strengthening relationships between telecom operators and subscribers, as the industry continues to prioritise service quality and consumer protection.
