There Is No Other God But Allah – Tinubu Declares In Saudi Arabia

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has declared that there is no other God but Almighty Allah, describing Him as the only one who determines what a human being will become in life.

The President made the declaration on Friday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, shortly after performing the Umrah pilgrimage at the Grand Mosque, Masjid al-Haram.

Tinubu also disclosed that he used the spiritual exercise to pray for Nigeria, asking Almighty Allah to grant the country sustainable peace, unity, harmony and stability.

Speaking with journalists after completing the religious rites, the President emphasised the importance of faith, commitment to national service and submission to the will of Allah.

He said, “There is no other God but Allah. He is the only one who defines a human being, what he will be and what he will become. We just pray for our nation.”

In a statement issued on Friday by Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the Presidency said Tinubu performed Umrah early in the morning in the holy city of Makkah.

According to the statement, the President offered prayers of gratitude to Almighty Allah and sought His continued guidance and protection for Nigeria and its people.

During the spiritual exercise, Tinubu circled the Holy Ka’abah at the Grand Mosque in worship, devotion and thanksgiving.

The President explained that the pilgrimage was significant because of his love for Nigerians, his commitment to the responsibilities of his office and his desire to see the will of Allah prevail in the affairs of the country.

He said, “I believe this Umrah is very significant for the love of our people, commitment to the job and our country, Nigeria; commitment to the will of Allah that His words must prevail, and that there’s no other God but Him and He’s the only one that makes a human being what he can be and what he would be in life.”

Tinubu further expressed gratitude to Allah for granting him the opportunity to perform the spiritual exercise, stressing that his prayers were directed towards the wellbeing of Nigerians.

“I am grateful to Allah for being able to perform this Umrah. We have just prayed for our nation, for everyone to live in peace and harmony, happiness and faith in God Almighty,” he stated.

The President also prayed for Nigeria’s leaders, asking Allah to grant them wisdom and the ability to make decisions that would promote the country’s development and improve the lives of its citizens.

He called for stronger bonds of brotherhood among Nigerians and lasting relief from insecurity and other challenges confronting the country.

Tinubu expressed hope that Nigeria would continue to make progress towards economic prosperity, social development and a more secure future.

He also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to building a peaceful, united and prosperous country where Nigerians, irrespective of their religious beliefs or backgrounds, could live in safety, dignity and harmony.

The President’s appearance in Makkah followed his departure from Abuja on Thursday for Saudi Arabia to perform the Islamic spiritual exercise.
