Governor Hyacinth Alia, on behalf of the Government and good people of Benue State, has extended hearty felicitations to the Tor Tiv and Chairman, Benue State Traditional Council, Prof. James Ayatse, on the occasion of his 70th birthday anniversary, today, May 12, 2026.
The governor extended the greetings in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sir Tersoo Kula, on Tuesday.
He described the revered monarch as a distinguished traditional ruler, scholar, statesman and patriot whose wisdom, courage and unwavering commitment to peace, justice and the preservation of the rich Tiv cultural heritage have continued to inspire posterity across Benue State and beyond.
He particularly commended the Begha U Tiv for his fatherly role in promoting unity, peaceful coexistence and constructive dialogue among the diverse peoples of the state.
Governor Alia noted among other things that HRM, Prof. Ayatse’s reign has maintained dignity and honour to the traditional institution.
The Governor prays to God to grant the Royal Father more years in good health, strength, wisdom and grace as he continues to serve humanity and provide purposeful leadership to the Tiv Kingdom and the entire Benue traditional institution.
