Bashir El-Rufai Accuses Lawmaker Brother Of Drug, Alcohol Abuse

A family dispute involving the sons of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai has spilled onto social media, with Bashir El-Rufai making serious allegations against his elder brother, Mohammed Bello El-Rufai.
Mohammed Bello is a member of the House of Representatives.
Bashir, in a post shared on his 𝕏 account on Saturday morning, accused the lawmaker of abusing cocaine and alcohol.
He alleged that his brother had a substance around his nostrils and claimed that, despite representing constituents in the National Assembly, he allegedly preferred alcohol and cocaine.
The post attracted reactions from followers, with some advising Bashir to resolve the disagreement privately rather than take the matter to social media.
One follower, identified as @cryptogeekng, questioned Bashir’s decision to make the family dispute public and urged him to settle the matter away from social media.
Responding, Bashir rejected the suggestion that he was the one abusing drugs. He instead repeated his allegation against his brother, claiming that Mohammed Bello was using cocaine and whiskey.
The allegations have not been independently verified, and the lawmaker had not publicly responded to the claims as of the time of the report.
The specific cause of the disagreement between the brothers also remains unclear.
Bashir later deleted the posts, explaining that he did so following an instruction from his mother.
The development has generated reactions online, particularly because of the public nature of the dispute involving members of the former governor’s family.
