The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) has sealed 12 establishments, including a church, for allegedly violating environmental regulations and failing to comply with directives issued by the agency.
LASEPA announced the enforcement action on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, following an operation conducted across parts of Lagos on Tuesday, September 22.
According to the agency, the affected establishments are located in Ogba, Idimu-Ikota, Ejigbo, LASU-Iba Road, Igando and Agodo-Egbe.
LASEPA said the establishments had been given repeated warnings, abatement notices and opportunities to correct the identified violations before the enforcement action was taken.
The agency explained that the exercise was carried out in accordance with the Lagos State Government’s directives to enforce environmental laws, protect public health and promote a cleaner and safer environment.
Among the establishments sealed was Thrillz Lounge on Odusanmi Street, Ogba, over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance.
Feixiang Plastic, located along LASU-Ojo Road, Oko Filling Bus Stop, was also sealed for non-compliance.
In Igando, Marvel Hotel & Suites, Chrisbee Crescent, BRT Bus Stop, was shut over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance, while Keviz Hotel & Suites, Councilor Ajayi Street, Obadore Bus Stop, LASU-Iba Road, was sealed for obstruction of duty and non-compliance.
Other establishments affected included DSN Hotel & Suites, Benson Onyeacholen Street, O’Mark Bus Stop, LASU-Igando Road, and Rudaj Vegetable Oil, Tanimowo Street, Ologufe Bus Stop, Igando Road, both for non-compliance.
The Celestial Church of Christ (Aduragbemi Parish) on Adetola Buhari Street, Okerube Bus Stop, Ikotun, was also sealed over alleged noise pollution and non-compliance with LASEPA directives.
Other facilities sealed were Limas, Aro-Oloye Street, off Abaranje Road, Abaranje, Ikotun; Nico Hotel & Suites, Ayawo Close, NEPA Bus Stop, Egbe-Isolo Road, Ejigbo; and 10Kobo Night Club, Abanishe Street, off Hostel Road, Agodo-Egbe.
While Limas and Nico Hotel & Suites were sealed for non-compliance, 10Kobo Night Club was cited for noise pollution and non-compliance.
LASEPA also sealed Master Furniture, Coleman Street, Pao Bus Stop, Idimu-Ikota Road, and Nikky’s Executive Bar & Lounge, Governor’s Road, Ikotun, over alleged failure to comply with the agency’s directives.
Speaking on the enforcement exercise, LASEPA General Manager, Dr. Babatunde Ajayi, said the agency would continue to monitor facilities and enforce environmental standards across Lagos.
Ajayi stressed that maintaining environmental standards was a collective responsibility and said LASEPA would intensify enforcement against businesses, religious organisations, individuals and corporate bodies whose activities violate environmental regulations or pose risks to public health and the environment.
He urged business owners, facility operators, religious institutions, scrap dealers and residents to adopt environmentally responsible practices and obtain the required permits and approvals.
The LASEPA boss also called on residents and operators to cooperate with the agency as it works towards achieving a cleaner, healthier and more sustainable Lagos.
