PDP Fixes May 4 for NEC Meeting

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled its 103rd National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting for Monday, May 4, 2026.

Applesbite reports that the announcement was made on Saturday via the party’s official social media handle.

According to the party, the meeting will begin at 2:00 pm and was convened following a resolution passed by a two-thirds majority of NEC members, in line with the PDP constitution and internal rules governing its operations.

Attendance will be restricted strictly to statutory NEC members. This includes PDP governors, members of the National Assembly caucus, the Board of Trustees, state party chairmen, and national ex-officio members.

Also expected at the meeting are former members of the National Working Committee, past governors of the party, principal officers of the National Assembly, and other selected stakeholders within the NEC framework.

The PDP stated that the meeting will provide an avenue to assess key issues affecting the party’s structure and direction, while also focusing on strengthening unity and internal processes ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“In accordance with the PDP Constitution, attendance at the 103rd NEC meeting is strictly for statutory members of the National Executive Committee,” the notice stated.

It added that the NEC remains committed to the stability, unity, and success of the party, guided by internal democracy, discipline, inclusiveness, and efforts to improve the welfare of Nigerians as preparations continue toward the 2027 elections.
