Presidency Insists Nigeria Is Changing Under Tinubu’s Administration

The Presidency has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration has recorded notable progress across key sectors, adding that ongoing projects reflect efforts to transform governance and infrastructure nationwide.

The Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, made this known on Monday during a briefing with journalists ahead of a planned nationwide inspection tour of federal project sites.

According to Onanuga, the tour will cover projects executed across all 36 states of the federation, spanning infrastructure, economic development, and human capital programmes. He said the exercise is intended to assess and showcase ongoing federal government initiatives.

“The purpose of this tour is to showcase what the administration has been able to do so far and demonstrate its commitment to national development. These projects cut across different sectors and are located across all states,” he said.

He added that the government expects the public to better assess the scale of work done once the projects are presented during the tour.

Also speaking, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media, Tunde Rahman, said journalists would be involved in tracking and reporting project implementation across the country, noting that the initiative is aimed at improving public awareness of government activities.

Officials from the Ministries of Health, Information, and other agencies also briefed the media on sector-specific developments.

In the health sector, Nasiru Mohammed highlighted the Presidential Initiative aimed at improving local pharmaceutical production and reducing drug costs. He said regulatory reforms had also attracted interest from international investors.

In education, Rabiu Musa from the Ministry of Information pointed to the National Education Loans Fund as a major policy intervention designed to expand access to tertiary education for students.

The Presidency said the various programmes and projects reflect efforts by the administration to address key national challenges, while expressing optimism that ongoing reforms will deliver longer-term economic and social benefits.

It added that the nationwide project tour is part of efforts to provide a clearer assessment of federal government initiatives under President Tinubu’s leadership.
